PRODUCT USES < < < DESCRIPTION FAIRTOP STD is supplied as a monolithic industrial flooring compound ready to use factory controlled, dry shake cementitious system blended with special aggregates, selected for high abrasion and wear resistance and additives. FAIRTOP STD is used to obtain a dense, tough, abrasion resistant industrial floor with non dusty and nonslip characteristics. For extremely heavy flooring 12 mm thick FAIRTOP HD ready to use monolithic floor hardener is recommended. (A separate data sheet is available on this product.) FAIRTOP STD is a cementitious industrial flooring compound which creates a monolithic bond with substrates. FAIRTOP STD can be used in Loading bays, Factories, Warehouse, Car Parking areas, Truck Lanes, Workshops, Garages, Subways, Power Stations & Abattoirs. Recommended for refurbishment over terrazzo, Quarry or ceramic tiles. Also, recommended for workshops, show room, food & beverage processing areas to withstand moderate to heavy traffic. PROPERTIES Abrasion Resistance : FAIRTOP STD has been tested with funditor abrasion machine using Silicon Carbide Wheels. The sample was tested for 10,000 revs at a fixed speed and the amount of wear assessed by measuring the depth of the groove by abrasion wheels at four points around the perimeter. The results show that FAIRTOP STD improves the abrasion resistance compared to grano by over 150%. (as per IS 1237 : 1980) Compressive Strength : The FAIRTOP STD cubes when tested for compressive strength have typical strength of over 600 kg/cm² at 28 days. Mho's scale hardness of FAIRTOP STD aggregates between 7 to 8 scale. Colour Range : Presently available in Natural Grey, Brick Red and Green. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Base Concrete : The base concrete should have a minimum cement content of 300 kg/m3 with a slump of 40- 60 mm with a low water cement ratio. Method of Laying Base Concrete : The base concrete must be laid in accordance with good concrete practice either in bays or long strips. Particular care must be taken at the corners and edges of the bays to obtain good compaction and to maintain level for subsequent troweling operations. If too much of free water is seen on the surface, subsequent water content in concrete must be reduced to obviate the presence of free water. APPLICATION As a guide, the application should be made between 1 hour2 hours, i.e. when the surface water on concrete is completely evaporated. (When tested with Thumb, it leaves an impression but concrete does not stick to the Thumb). The application is made in two stages: Divide the floor in equal no. of bays. As soon as the concrete becomes tacky, make 150 to 200 mm strip on edges. Spray the material on these strips with dry shake. Apply the power Floater for a nd compaction and to get moisture on top. 2 application will be in perpendicular to first application. In one of the bays, when edges are covered with dry shake, start spraying / spreading material in mid strips. After 12 hrs. of application, this requires pond curing for a high strength, abrasion resistance floor. F
