The FIA HAM 150 Hand Held Metal Detector is a small, practical tool built for fast metal checks in security work. It works at 22 kHz and finds metal items that sit up to 35 mm inside a barrier. A dial lets the guard set the sensitivity to match the task. A 9 V rechargeable alkaline battery (type 6F22ND) powers the unit for many hours on one charge. When the detector senses metal, a red lamp lights plus the buzzer rises in pitch to show the spot. The unit weighs 0.4 kg and draws less than 5 mA while it waits - the battery lasts longer but also the device feels light in the hand.
