An FKM seal, often referred to by the trade name Viton, is a high-performance elastomeric seal made from fluorocarbon rubber. Known for its exceptional resistance to heat, chemicals, oils, fuels, and aging, FKM seals are ideal for demanding applications where durability and chemical stability are critical. They can withstand continuous temperatures up to 200°C (392°F) and are highly resistant to a wide range of aggressive fluids including hydrocarbons, acids, and solvents.
Commonly used in automotive, aerospace, chemical processing, and industrial equipment, FKM seals ensure reliable sealing performance under extreme conditions, reducing maintenance needs and extending the life of machinery.
