Flame cutting is oxygen cutting in which the appropriate part of the material to be cut is raised to ignition temperature by an oxy-fuel gas flame.Oxy-fuel cutting, or flame cutting, is a thermal cutting technique. It uses oxygen and a fuel source (called oxy-fuel) to produce a flame that is hot enough to burn through different materials. The main advantage is that flame cutters can slice through thick materials.The five most commonly used fuel gases are acetylene, propane, MAPP (methylacetylene-propadiene), propylene and natural gas.
