Product Details
A Flameproof LED Light is a specially designed lighting fixture intended for installation in hazardous areas where flammable gases, vapours, or combustible dust may be present. The luminaire is enclosed in a robust flameproof housing that can withstand an internal explosion and prevent flames or hot gases from igniting the surrounding atmosphere. These luminaires are manufactured and tested according to hazardous area standards such as IEC 60079 and are commonly certified as Ex d (Flameproof). Features Heavy-duty die-cast aluminium or stainless-steel enclosure. High-efficiency LED light source with low power consumption. Flameproof Ex d certified construction. High ingress protection, typically IP65/IP66. Toughened glass diffuser for impact resistance. Long service life of approximately 50,000 hours or more. Low maintenance requirements. Available in various wattages and mounting arrangements. Working Principle The LED module provides illumination, while the flameproof enclosure safely contains any internal ignition. If an explosion occurs inside the fitting, the enclosure prevents the flame from propagating to the external hazardous atmosphere.
