14 x 14 Feet Boxing Ring is a specially designed platform where boxing matches are held. Despite the term "ring," the structure is typically square, often referred to as the "squared circle." Here's an overview of its key features:Key Features of :- Shape & Dimensions: Modern boxing rings are square, with each side typically measuring between 16 to 24 feet (4.9 to 7.3 meters). The most common size is 20 feet (6.1 meters) on each side. The ring is elevated, usually by about 3 to 4 feet (0.9 to 1.2 meters) from the ground, to provide better visibility for spectators. Surface: The platform is covered with a layer of approximately 1 inch (25 mm) of padding, topped with stretched canvas. This surface provides a safe and non-slip area for the boxers and helps absorb impact to reduce injuries. Ropes & Corner Pads: The ring is enclosed by four parallel ropes, typically made of a combination of vinyl or plastic with a core of fiber or steel, to prevent the fighters from falling out. The ropes are spaced approximately 18 to 24 inches apart, with the lowest rope about 18 inches above the ground. Each corner is marked with a padded corner pad, traditionally colored red, white, blue, and white, to designate the fighters' corners. Safety & Regulations: The design and dimensions of the boxing ring are standardized to ensure safety and fairness in matches. The platform must be flat and free from obstacles, extending beyond the ropes by at least 46 cm on each side. Corner posts are well-protected with special pillows or other safety measures to prevent injuries.
