Fosroc Nitobond PC 40 is a two-part thixotropic epoxy adhesive made by Fosroc (a major construction chemicals brand) used in structural bonding and jointing of concrete and masonry in heavy-duty construction. �� What It Is It's a solvent-free epoxy resin system supplied as two components – a base (off-white) and a hardener (black) – that are pre-weighed for easy on-site mixing. When mixed, it forms a grey, high-strength adhesive. �� Key Features & Benefits Slow-set grade: PC 40 is the slow curing version, formulated for use in warmer site conditions (~25 °C to ~40 °C) or where longer working time is needed. Excellent squeezability for tight joints. High bond strength suitable for structural connections. Fast cure relative to traditional adhesives, reducing construction delays. Tolerant to damp surfaces (important on many concrete jobsites). Meets FIP (International Federation for Structural Concrete) epoxy adhesive specs. �� Common Uses Bonding segmented concrete bridge components or precast elements. Joining and sealing concrete and masonry units to restore structural continuity. Pointing stone masonry joints to maintain alignment and integrity. �� How It Works (Basics) Mix base + hardener thoroughly until colour is uniform grey. Apply to both surfaces (often with serrated trowel). Close joint immediately within open time (typically ~60 min, depending on temp/grade). �� Technical Points (Typical) Pot life & open time: Depends on grade and temperature, but PC 40 is slower curing than PC 20/30. Strength: Compressive and shear strengths are high once cured. Coverage: ~1.6 m² per 6 kg pack at 2 mm thickness (approx).
