The production process includes four basic steps: Pulp & Dye, Pressing, Creeping and Cutting. Paper pulp is prepared by mixing fibre with wood pulp and wash the mix with bleach. After the bleaching dye is added to the mix. If a coloured napkin is wanted to be produced then dye colours can also be added.A typical paper napkin manufacturing unit with an investment of about 10 lakhs can generate about Rs. 1 crore in annual sales turnover and a profit of about 5-8 lakhs after all expenditures. Typical profit on sales is 5% with break-even point at 45% operating capacity.The main difference between napkin and tissue paper is that the napkin is a soft piece of fabric material, used to wipe the face before and after eating. On the other hand, Tissue Paper is a soft easily absorbent paper used for cleaning purposes. Both are available in different colors.
