The Greystone Duct Smoke Detector is a fire safety monitoring device designed to detect the presence of smoke within heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) duct systems. It is used to monitor air circulating through ventilation ducts and provide an early indication of potential smoke conditions within a building's air distribution network. The device helps support fire detection and safety management by identifying smoke that may be transported through ductwork and assisting in the initiation of appropriate protective actions. The duct smoke detector is generally installed in HVAC ductwork and operates by sampling or monitoring the air passing through the ventilation system. Depending on the model, the detector may use a compatible smoke-sensing element housed within a sampling chamber, with a sampling tube arrangement that draws air from the duct into the sensing area.
