HARDTUFF™ SSWP 500 is a premium quenched and tempered (Q&T), through-hardened wear-resistant steel plate designed for severe abrasion and moderate-to-high impact applications. It is widely used in mining, cement, steel, power, quarrying, and earthmoving industries where components are exposed to continuous wear. The plate offers an excellent combination of hardness, toughness, weldability, and fabrication performance, helping to extend equipment life and reduce maintenance costs. Key Features Nominal hardness of 500 HBW (Brinell Hardness) for superior abrasion resistance. Through-hardened structure provides uniform wear resistance across the entire thickness. High yield and tensile strength for demanding structural applications. Good impact toughness, reducing the risk of cracking under dynamic loading. Excellent weldability, cutting, bending, and machining characteristics with proper procedures. Smooth surface finish promotes better material flow and minimizes material sticking.
