Items (such as packaging) have shrink film loosely applied; with heat, the film shrinks to fit snugly around the wrapped object.A shrink tunnel (also commonly known as a heat tunnel) is a metallic tunnel that sits above or is built around a conveyor. The tunnel has a heating element that heats the products as they move through the machine. Your products are conveyed through the tunnel and are cloaked with loosely fitting shrink film.Shrink tunnels are temperature controlled environments used to tighten shrink film that has been applied by a shrink wrapper around products. Conveyor systems move packages through the oven, allowing for an even application of heat.
