Open well submersible pumps are designed for open well applications, where the pump is fully submerged in water. These pumps can either be a single stage pump with an impeller and a volute casing, or a multistage pump similar to borewell submersible pumps.A submersible well pump is underground and completely in a water reservoir. It relies on pressurized water rather than suction to move water to the surface. The pump sends excess water to an above-ground well pressure tank, which is generally part of your home's plumbing system.
