Hybrid Solar Systems are a combination of ON Grid & Off Grid Solar Systems wherein they have net metering as well as battery storage facility. It is most suitable for areas & customers that may face power cuts of 2-4 hours on a daily basis, require uninterrupted power supply and are willing to export excess energy back to the grid for net metering purposes. 

The main principal of such systems is to first ensure that the battery bank is fully charged so as to offer power backup in case of power failures, secondly to offer ON Demand power supply over & above the battery bank installed during the day and lastly to export excess energy back to the grid if the batteries are fully charged and there is no need for on demand power supply by the customer. 

A standard 2BHK household with 8 LED lights, 4 Fans, 1 Fridge, 2 TVs and some other basic loads should opt for a 2kW Hybrid Solar System consisting of 4 x 100ah batteries, 3kVA Inverter & 2kW Solar Panels. The approximate total cost for such a system on all inclusive basis comes to Rs 1,60,000 and can offer upto 4 hours of uninterrupted backup to the customer for the loads mentioned above along with 4 hours of direct load running in the day and lastly net metering benefits during low power cut days and low power consumption at site.
