Made from various paper-based materials, paper plates are manufactured to be used for casual dinners, picnics, and any events where the plate is to be discarded. There are a wide variety of different plates available that vary in size, the way they are formed, and the materials used to create the texture of the plate.To make a typical paper plate, the wood is broken down into tiny pulp fibers which are first filtered to remove dirt and other contaminants. The pulp is then bleached white and placed into special molds to form its signature circular shape. Lastly, the pulp is pressed, dried, and stamped with designs.How are printing plates made? After imposition, each parent-sheet-sized art file is split out into four separate files, one for each color of ink: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK). From there, each separated file is laser-engraved onto its own plate to be installed into the printing press.
