INCONEL alloy 601 has good mechanical strength.Nominal mechanical-property ranges for various products are shown in Table 5. As indicated by those values, the strength level exhibited by the alloy varies with the form and condition of the material.The optimum condition for alloy 601 depends on the type of application and the service temperature involved. In general, the solution-treated condition issued for rupture-limited applications (temperatures of about 1000degreeF (540degreeC) and higher).
