Chlorine Paper Testing have been developed with a mixture of several indicators which on contact with the sample solution assume a particular color. A DPD 1 tablet is added to the water sample and this causes a pink colour change. The intensity of the colour is then measured by the meter to give a reading in mg/L or ppm free chlorine. Chlorine indicator paper that measures chlorine levels from 5–100 parts per million (ppm) is a type of test paper that changes color when dipped into a solution containing chlorine.
