Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems: any facility including the effluent collection system, designed and constructed for the purpose of reducing the potential of the industrial effluent or mixed effluent to cause pollution. ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) is a process design for treating the. industrial waste water for its reuse or safe disposal to the environment. • Influent: Untreated industrial waste water. The principle of operation of ETP is Physico-Chemical treatment followed by Polishing Treatments like –Sand Filtration, Activated Charcoal treatment (Adsorption), Ozonisation (Chemical Oxidation), Ultra Filtration (UF), Reverse Osmosis (RO) and evaporation (If required).There are three types of wastewater, or sewage: domestic sewage, industrial sewage, and storm sewage. Domestic sewage carries used water from houses and apartments; it is also called sanitary sewage. Industrial sewage is used water from manufacturing or chemical processes.
