Industrial effluent treatment is the effective process of treating waste water that is highly contaminated by industrial wastes.Industrial effluents are discharges from various industries, and various organic pollutants have been found in different water resources. They belong to various classes such as pesticides, fertilizers, hydrocarbons, phenols, plasticizers, biphenyls, detergents, oils, greases, pharmaceuticals, etc.Conventional effluent treatment systems are typically based on a series of water treatment facilities in which all the wastewater collected from water-using operations is combined and treated as a single effluent stream. This centralised approach treats wastewater collectively in sequence.To protect the environment and communities, the ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) is designed to treat effluent (wastewater) and remove any harmful pollutants. The 'clean' water can then be safely released into the environment.
