Some plants go down to -5 °C or even -30 °C for special applications. iAmbient conditions and suitability – e.g., operation in hot ambient (India can hit +45 °C+), configuration of condenser (air-cooled vs water-cooled). Example: "rated for ambient up to +48 °C" in one spec. Type of condenser / cooling: Air-cooled: simpler, less water usage, but ambient dependent. Water-cooled: need cooling tower / water-source; often more stable in high-ambient/humidity. Refrigerant type & efficiency – Modern chillers use eco-friendly refrigerants (R407C, R134a etc) and variable-speed drives (VFD) or modulatory compressor circuits for better efficiency. Materials & construction – For industrial environment, corrosion resistance, stainless steel components, proper controls, safety features (low/high pressure protection) are importan Pump/circulation system, expansion tank, controls & automation – Because the chilled water loop (piping, flow, vales) is as important as the chiller. Service & maintenance – Availability of service, spare parts, local support (especially in Maharashtra) is critical. Installation & space – Chiller plants are bulky; require proper ventilation (for air-cooled), foundation, piping layout, cooling tower if water-cooled. Budget & lifecycle cost – Not just purchase cost but running cost (power consumption), maintenance, and downtime cost.
