Product Details
A wire drawing machine is a mechanical device used to reduce the diameter of metal rods or wires by pulling them through a series of drawing dies. The process works on the principle of tensile deformation, where the wire is elongated and its cross-sectional area is reduced while maintaining material continuity. In this machine, a metal rod is drawn through one or more hardened dies made of tungsten carbide or diamond. Each die progressively reduces the wire diameter until the required final size is achieved. Proper lubrication is used to minimize friction, die wear, and surface damage. Wire drawing machines are used to process materials such as steel, copper, gold,silver and alloy metals. They can produce fine, uniform wires with high dimensional accuracy and improved mechanical properties such as increased tensile strength and surface finish due to work hardening.
