These machines are ideal for pressing powders of chemicals, ceramic and camphor, so as to convert these into tablets. Also, these can be used for pressing medicinal tablets, catalysts, candies and other such products.Camphor is produced from alpha-pinene, which is abundant in the oils of coniferous trees and can be distilled from turpentine produced as a side product of chemical pulping. With acetic acid as the solvent and with catalysis by a strong acid, alpha-pinene into isobornyl acetate.Camphor is a flammable, waxy, and transparent with a pleasant odor, produced from distillation of wood and bark of the camphor tree which is predominantly found in Asia. In addition to its natural origin, camphor can also be produced synthetically from turpentine oil.Camphor oil is extracted by steam from the chipped wood, root stumps and branches of the camphor tree. It is then rectified under vacuum and filter pressed, explained scientists.
