An L-sealer is a piece of packaging equipment designed to enclose a product with shrink film. Commonly, an L-sealer consists of an adjustable product tray where the product is placed and the top layer of centre folded film covers the product.L-bar sealers are used in shrink wrap packaging. With a single action, the operator can cut and seal shrink film by grabbing the handle and pushing it down to be level with the package. The operator will gently pull the package away from the machine. The heating wire will seal and cut off the film.A shrink tunnel (also commonly known as a heat tunnel) is a metallic tunnel that sits above or is built around a conveyor. The tunnel has a heating element that heats the products as they move through the machine. Your products are conveyed through the tunnel and are cloaked with loosely fitting shrink film.How do shrink wrap machines work? A shrink wrap machine dispenses film which is loosely folded over a product. The film is then heated and forms a tight wrap around the product. The range of equipment available starts with a set-up of manually-fed film used with a hand-held heat gun.There are two common types of sealers to choose from – film forming and penetrating, with each offering their own different benefits and each suitable for different applications.
