Lime Black Limestone is a rare tumbled limestone tile with soft tumbled edges and a rustic textured surface. These lime black stones are relatively easy to cut into blocks or more elaborate carving. Lime black have been the architect's choice for decorating interiors as well exterior of the house. Due to the strong chemical and physical composition, they are long-lasting and stands up well to exposure. The hard sedimentary rock can also withstand high temperature without loosing its integrity. Black Limestone can be availed in different forms such as slab, tiles, etc. based upon the specific requirements.Place of Origin : Betamcherla Physical Properties Physically, Limestone are Quite impervious, Hard, Compact, fine to very fine grained calcareous rocks of sedimentary nature. Lime (CaO) -38-42%Silica (SiO2) -20-25%Alumina (Al2O3) -2-4%Other Oxides like Na, Mg -1.5 to 2.5%Loss On Ignition (LOI) -30-32% Limestone, like marble and other calcareous stones, are referred to as acid sensitive. Calcareous stones are readily dissolved in acid, therefore acidic products should not be used on limestone and marbles.
