A Magnetic Roll Separator (also known as a High Intensity Magnetic Roll Separator) is an industrial machine designed to separate weakly magnetic materials from non-magnetic or less magnetic materials using high-intensity magnetic fields generated by rare earth magnets. Working Principle: Feeding System: Material is evenly fed onto a moving belt or vibrating feeder, which transports it toward the magnetic roll. Magnetic Separation: The material passes near or over the high-intensity rare earth magnetic roll. Magnetic particles are attracted to the roll and held there while non-magnetic particles fall off naturally. Discharge: The magnetic material is carried by the roll to a discharge point, then released by mechanical means or by exiting the magnetic field. Separate chutes collect magnetic and non-magnetic fractions. Features: Uses NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron) magnets for very high magnetic field gradients (up to ~20,000 Gauss). Designed for dry processing of fine granular materials (usually below 2 mm in size). Multiple roll or stage configurations available for higher separation efficiency. Adjustable splitter plates and variable speed controls for precision. Applications: Mineral processing (e.g., separation of ilmenite, garnet, monazite, chromite, silica, quartz, etc.) Ceramics and glass industries (to remove iron from raw materials) Recycling industries (e-waste, plastics) Abrasives and refractories Food industry (to ensure product purity in spices or grains)
