A pitot tube is a device used to measure the velocity of fluids, particularly air or liquids, flowing through a pipe or channel. It works by measuring the difference between the total (stagnation) pressure and the static pressure of the fluid. This pressure difference is then used to calculate the fluid's velocity using Bernoulli's principle.
