The “tonnage” is the measure of force that is required to keep the tool closed during the injection process. This force is the main factor in determining the injection molding machine size required for producing the part.The injection moulding process involves heating & injecting plastic material under pressure into a closed metal mould tool. The method is suitable for the mass production of products with complicated shapes, and takes a large part in the area of plastic processing.
