A hydraulic scissor lift consists of: A platform (top surface for load or workers) Scissor arms (crisscrossed metal supports) Hydraulic cylinder(s) (provide lifting force) Power unit (manual pump or electric motor with hydraulic oil) Base frame (supports the structure) When hydraulic fluid is pumped into the cylinder, the scissor arms extend, raising the platform.
