The Motor Run Capacitor is a component which has the ability or "capacity" to store energy in the form of an electrical charge producing a potential difference (Static Voltage) across its plates, much like a small rechargeable battery. The run capacitor is used to improve the running efficiency of a compressor's motor. The run capacitor is placed in series with the start winding of the compressor and will remain in the circuit as the motor operates. GCS Series are cylindrical / Oval Aluminum case designed incorporating with safety mechanism device, Offering long life and reliable products. These are popular in air conditioners, Washing machines Lighting fixtures, etc.Salient Features: Low dissipation factor High insulation resistance Internal Protection Self – healing properties Pressure Sensitive Interrupter (PSI) Range from 1 mfd to 60 mfd, 40-60 mfd to 200-250 mfd P2 SH C-40/70/21 30+5 uf Construction: Dielectric - Polypropylene Element-Non inductive type, wound by high speed fully automatic controlled winding machines Filling - Non polluting filling compound (non P.C.B.). Terminals- Tin-plated steel, Two terminals are provided for single element capacitor, three terminals for dual element capacitor, Quick connect (fast-on ) terminals provided with a detent. All other specifications are in accordance with #250 AMP. Each terminal shall have 2,3 or 4 pins depending upon configuration. Metal top- Metal top assembly consisting of cover, Washer, Packing Material, Connecting rivets and terminals. Pressure Sensitive Interrupter / Internal Protection Bridge- Made of UL approved. Bridge is provided with holes for inserting tips from terminals. Bridge is secured between element and metal top cover.
