As opposed to traditional conveyors, these are equipped with electric motors that move the unit loads (pallets or boxes) in a controlled way. Motorized roller conveyors are made up of a series of rollers that support the load and propel it along a circuit.The Powered Roller Conveyors are 24V conveyors for precise and efficient transportation of containers, totes or boxes. Ideal for zero-pressure accumulation, each zone can be controlled separately. The control units are pre-installed inside the extrusion, covered and ready to use (plug-and-play).What is a roller conveyor? Roller conveyors are a series of rollers supported within a frame where objects can be moved either manually, by gravity, or by power.Industrial conveyors are horizontal, inclined, declined, or vertical machinery that transport bulk materials or discrete units from one place to another at a controlled rate. There are two main conveyor technologies: bulk material and unit handling. There are also many different conveyor types.Simply put, roller conveyors are a form of conveyor belt that utilizes rollers - evenly-spaced rotating cylinders - to allow objects to skate across its surface. They move material from one place to another destination, and often leverage gravity or implement small motors to do so.There are a multitude of conveyor types, designs, and processes. The most common types are belt, roller, and overhead with overhead and floor mounted being the two broad categories.Though gravity roller conveying systems are the most well-known, other types include belt driven rollers, chain driven rollers, line shaft rollers, and zero pressure rollers.Common types are belt, roller, motorised roller and overhead conveyors. We categorise them as floor style (mounted on the floor) or overhead. Use them to move products, create buffers and deliver products in sequence for a production line.Belt conveyors are limited to weights being carried whereas roller conveyors have been supplied handling up to two tonne pallet loads and bins. Belt conveyors are ideal for handling small/lightweight/irregular products and can be set on an incline to convey products to/from higher levels.A conveyor pulley is a mechanical device similar to a conveyor roller that is used to change the direction of the belt in a conveyor system or to drive the belt or to put tension on the belt. A conveyor pulley is more heavy-duty than a roller and is used at either end of a conveyor, or near the drive/motor.
