Specially designed and fabricated for crane Suspended Bhide, geared crane ladles are of sturdy welded construction. To facilitatepouring ofthe molten metal into moulds placed on either side ofthe crane line. THE Bhide geared crane ladle is mounted inaccurately machined trunnions and is provided with two pouring lips. The gears are totally enclosed in a gear case whichsafeguards them from being- damaged by the molten metal. All possible care is taken in the selection of raw materials and toensure long useful life.Features: Ladle Bucket: The Ladle Bucket of the BHIDE geared crane ladle is made from M. S. Plates of adequate thickness. The rigidity of the bucket is increased by an M. S. flat ring and cross bars fixed at the bottom as well as by a stiffening centre band welded round the bucket in line with the trunnions which are welded on specially formed channel plates. The bucket is supported in gun metal bush bearings fitted to a lifting bail. When placed on the ground the ladle sits upright on the stiffening ring. Lifting Shackle: The lifting hook made from M. S. flats is provided with a lifting shackle also made of mild steel. This shackle facilitates lifting and carrying of the ladle by a crane wherever it is needed. The shackle is so attached that the ladle always remains perfectly balanced. To keep the ladle in a vertical position, a hinged fork is provided which locks it in that position. Tilting Mechanism: A great deal of care is exercised in the manufacture and positioning of the trunnions as well as the tilting mechanism. As a result of this, the ladle can be tipped with a minimum of effort, irrespective of its contents-full, partially full or completely empty. Consequently,-maxi¬mum pouring is always ensured. The tilting mechanism consists of a C. I. worm wheel and steel worm and bevel gears, all machine - cut and encased in a mild steel or a cast iron fabricated gear box provided with a dust - proof cover. The worm runs in taper roller bearings.
