MYK LATICRETE 315 Plus White is a high-performance, single-component, cementitious polymer-modified tile adhesive. It is designed for thin-set installation of various types of tiles and stones. Here is a detailed description: Key Features and Description Product Type: Cementitious Tile Adhesive (Polymer-Modified). Color: White. The white color is specifically preferred for installing light-colored or translucent tiles and stones (like certain marbles or vitrified tiles) to prevent the adhesive from showing through or staining the material. Formulation: Single-component powder. It requires only the addition of clean water to mix into a smooth, trowelable consistency. Polymer Modification: The addition of polymers enhances its strength, flexibility, and overall adhesion performance compared to traditional cement mortars. High Bond Strength: It is engineered to provide superior adhesion to a wide variety of substrates. Non-Sag: It has good non-slip or non-sag properties, making it suitable for vertical wall applications. Extended Open Time (E): It is classified as having an extended open time, giving the installer more time to set the tiles after the adhesive is spread on the substrate. Standard Compliance: It typically complies with international and national standards for tile adhesives, such as EN 12004 C1 TE (or C2TE/ANSI A118.4 ET when fortified with a latex admixture). Primary Applications It is designed for bonding tiles and stones in the following areas: Interior Floors and Walls: Suitable for all indoor tiling work. Exterior Floors: Can be used for tiling on outdoor ground surfaces. Tile-on-Tile: Ideal for renovating old tiled floors by fixing new tiles directly over existing, well-bonded ceramic or vitrified tiles. Suitable for: Ceramic Tiles Vitrified Tiles (Porcelain) Precast Terrazzo Natural Stones (Marble, Granite, etc.) Suitable Substrates Concrete Cement Mortar Beds and Plaster Brick Masonry Existing well-bonded Ceramic and Vitrified Tile (for tile-on-tile work) Important Considerations Maximum Thickness: It is typically used in a thin-bed application, generally up to a maximum bed thickness (e.g., 12 mm). Fortification: For highly demanding areas like wet areas, external walls, large format tiles, or surfaces subject to heavy loads, it is often recommended to mix the adhesive with a latex admixture (like MYK LATICRETE 3701 Mortar Admix) instead of just water to achieve higher performance standards (e.g., C2TE S1/S2).
