The Nano Coated End Mill for Hardened Steel 68 HRC is a highly specialized, high-performance cutting tool, typically constructed from solid, micro-grain tungsten carbide, explicitly designed to machine workpiece materials heat-treated to an extreme hardness of up to 68 on the Rockwell C scale. Its superior capability is largely due to the Nano Coating, such as nc-AlTiN, which provides an ultra-dense thermal barrier, drastically increasing resistance to heat and wear and allowing for high-speed, dry machining. The tool's geometry is optimized with a higher number of flutes (4, 6, or more) and often incorporates variable helix angles and a large core diameter to maximize rigidity, suppress harmful vibration (chatter), and deliver the smooth, high-precision finish required in industries like mold and die manufacturing.
