Super High Strength Yet Non-cracking Maintenance Welds For Increased Safety Ultra high tensile strength, yield strength & holding power - e.g, a fillet weld of 4 passes of Ferrogold 303 is generally equivalent in strength to a fillet weld of 16 passes of a mild steel electrode. Excellent work hardening qualities. Does not require embrittling heat treatment to obtain its ultra high tensile strength. Special ionised Arc Transfer Drastically Reduces Spatter & Electrode Overheating Easily usable even on the smallest AC machines. Lesser distortion, less warpage & less stress. SUPERB CRACK RESISTANCE Unmatched fine grained micro structure. Excellent ferrite-austenite balance with perfectly distributed ferrite throughout the weld deposit. Ferrite rich structure is highly resistant to fissures, cracking, hot cracking & under bead cracking. ...practically any type of cracking under practically all conceivable conditions. X-ray quality welds of utstanding quality even on dissimilar steels & composite steel structures. Exceptionally high elongation enables the weld to stretch & absorb weld contraction without either the weld or the base cracking. Restricted trace elements. Highly controlled penetration for minimum harmful dilution & harmful carbon or contamination pick - up. Virtually insensitive to arc length. ALL WEATHER Can be uniquely water quenched (or rapidly weather quenched when welding in cold climates) with no adverse effect on its physical properties. EXCELLENT IMPACT RESISTANCE Resists impact equal to or better even than steels specially designed for impact resistance (manganese, Ni - Mn, Mo -Mn......) EXCELLENT ALL-POSITION WELDABILITY IN BOTH AC & DC Unusually fine drop type ionised- arc transfer even on alternating current, reduces spatter & prevents overheating. Insensitive arc gap - can be varied from contact to medium long without loss of arc stability.
