Product Details
An oil-free screw air compressor is a type of rotary screw compressor that does not use oil in the compression chamber, making it ideal for applications where air purity is critical. Oil-free screw compressors use two intermeshing helical rotors (screws) to compress air. Unlike oil-injected screw compressors, they rely on alternative methods for sealing, cooling, and lubrication: The rotors are precisely engineered to minimize clearance and avoid contact. Teflon coatings, water, or air may be used for cooling. Bearings are typically isolated and may be lubricated by grease or located outside the compression chamber.
