An industrial heat exchanger is a device that is specially designed for heat transfer between different media. One medium is process fluid and the other is a heat-absorbing coolant comprised of chilled liquid or gas.Oil cooling systems (OL and OW Series) are designed to circulate transformer oil and are used in applications where the temperature at the heat source exceeds the operational temperature limit of water-based coolants, or when special insulating properties are required within the coolant loop.Heat exchangers, metal shells and tubes, work by transferring heat from one place to another. When a furnace burns natural gas or propane fuel, its exhaust/combustion by-products (also known as flue gas) enter and travel through the heat exchanger.
