METRO SF metal separators remove magnetic and non-magnetic metal particles (steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc) from free-falling bulk materials. Metal contaminants (even those contained in granulate) are removed by means of a specially designed reject flap (“Quick Flap System”).When radiation passes inside a detector, it causes ionization of gas atoms, separating atoms into positive ions and electrons. Separated electrons and positive ions are attracted to the electrodes, causing a current to flow. This is converted into electric signals, which are then measured as the amount of radiation.Examples of separator materials are polymers, paper, ceramics, and glass fibers. Organic electrolytes are usually used with polymer or paper separators. Aqueous electrolytes are best used with glass fibers or ceramic separators.A separator is a pressure vessel used to separate well fluids produced from oil and gas wells into gaseous and liquid components in the oil field. Hydrocarbon streams are made up of a mixture of gas, liquid hydrocarbons, and free water at the wellhead.
