An Orsat apparatus is a laboratory device used to perform volumetric gas analysis, typically for determining the percentage of carbon dioxide (CO2cap C cap O sub 2πΆπ2), oxygen (O2cap O sub 2π2), and carbon monoxide (COcap C cap OπΆπ) in flue gases. It uses a series of chemical absorption pipettes, a gas burette, and a leveling bottle to measure the volume of each gas absorbed from a sample. This process is used to check combustion efficiency and for environmental analysis.
