Conductor Tube (Rigid Busbar)A conductor tube refers to a rigid tubular busbar typically used in outdoor high-voltage substations. Primary Purpose: To act as a central junction where multiple incoming and outgoing electrical currents converge, providing a high current-carrying capacity for systems up to 765kV. Key Features: Material: Predominantly made of Aluminium or Aluminium Alloy because of its superior conductivity-to-weight ratio and cost-effectiveness compared to copper. Design: The tubular shape provides high mechanical strength to handle wind and ice loading while minimizing corona discharge losses due to its larger effective radius.
