The CASS Cum Salt Spray Chamber, For Laboratory is a lab machine that speeds up rust tests. It copies harsh weather so users see how fast coatings or metals rust. The box air stays within two degrees of the set point and the heater for the spray air also stays within two degrees. Both readings move in steps of 0.1 °C - the dial shows small changes. A gauge on the air line moves in steps of 0.1 Kg per cm² - the operator sees exact pressure. A funnel and cup catch 1 - 2 ml of spray each hour on an 80 cm² plate, the amount the standard asks for. The walls, lid and fittings are built from strong plastic and metal that survive daily lab work. The unit gives a quick picture of how well a paint layer or metal part resists rust.
