Product Details
The Digital Box Compression Tester is a machine that checks how much weight a box can bear before it collapses. It works on boxes made of corrugated board and on cartons. The unit pushes until the load reaches 1000 kilograms of force and shows the result within one percent of the true value. A motor moves the pressing plate at a steady speed of 12.5 millimetres per minute plus or minus 2.5 millimetres per minute. Four load cells sit under the platform so the force spreads evenly across the bottom of the box. A 1.5-horsepower induction motor from Crompton or Bharat Bijlee drives the system and keeps the speed constant. A back lit LCD screen displays the force reading while the test runs. The frame has a powder coated finish that resists scratches and rust - the unit lasts in a factory. By stacking weight onto a box in the same way boxes are stacked in a warehouse, the tester shows whether the package will survive transport but also storage.
