Product Description A paper plate diamond die is an industrial tool, usually made from cast iron or mild steel, that cuts and presses paper raw material to produce disposable plates with a distinctive embossed or "wrinkle" diamond pattern along the rim. This design offers enhanced rigidity and aesthetic appeal over plain-edged plates. Function and DesignThe "diamond" in the name refers to the distinctive, textured, or zigzag pattern it creates on the rim of the paper plate. This pattern serves two main purposes: Aesthetics: It provides a more appealing, premium finish compared to plain-edged plates. Strength: The crimped or "wrinkled" edge adds structural integrity and rigidity to the plate, helping it hold food without bending or spilling. The die works in a set (male and female components) to cut the paper material to the correct diameter and, simultaneously, press the diamond pattern onto the edge of the plate under heat and pressure.
