Transporting ice cream requires special care as the product is prone to melting at temperatures above -10°C. To ensure that the ice cream stays frozen during transit, it is important to use a cooling system that maintains a temperature below -12°C. The use of specially formulated nano packs or small packs is ideal for transit times of up to 4 to 6 hours. However, these packs are just one aspect of the cold chain and the accompanying box or packaging also plays a crucial role in maintaining the temperature. To ensure the coolant does not change shape during freezing and to prevent any space constraints in the box, a foam brick should be used. This will also provide leak-proof protection to the product.
