What is it for and how does it work. Our peelers are machines that transform hot rolled or forged bars into perfect round finished bars, thus removing all surface defects and cracks that have been created in the material during its production cycle.Bar peeling refers to a kinematically reversed longitudinal cylindrical turning process and is one of the most sophisticated machining processes around. The workpiece is concentrically fed through a rotating shaving head and the process know-how is mostly concentrated directly at the working area.Peeled Bright Steel Bar specifically is a machining process used to take a raw forged blank to a polished bar. During the bar peeling process, the forged bars are machined to remove surface cracks, cooled layers of “skin,” and oxide.The peeling process intends to remove the inedible or undesirable layer of rind or skin from raw produce. Through the peeling process, peeled products are prepared to meet high quality and safety requirements for human consumption or for other forms of subsequent processing, such as dicing, cutting, and canning.
