The Philips ClearVue 650 is a midrange 4D OB/GYN and shared service ultrasound machine. It is powered by Active Array technology, is easy to use, and has best in class automation features. The Philips ClearVue 650 replaces the HD9 and is visually identical to the ClearVue 550 except it has a larger monitor.An ultrasound machine makes images so that organs inside the body can be examined. The machine sends out high-frequency sound waves, which reflect off body structures. A computer receives the waves and uses them to create a picture. Unlike with an x-ray or CT scan, this test does not use ionizing radiation.(UL-truh-sownd) A procedure that uses high-energy sound waves to look at tissues and organs inside the body. The sound waves make echoes that form pictures of the tissues and organs on a computer screen (sonogram). Ultrasound may be used to help diagnose diseases, such as cancer.
