Description
Dot peen engraving machines work by electromechanically striking a carbide or diamond stylus assembly against the surface of a part to be marked. The result is a succession of dots to create digits, text, logos, and 2D data matrix codes.Pin Marking (or pin stamping) is the common phrase referring to a permanent, direct part marking process using a carbide pin to indent the marking surface with text, logos and 2D Data Matrix barcodes.A marking machine creates permanent or at least durable marking on your products. Common uses include identifying and tracing materials, parts or machines, or marking expiration dates in the food industry. Marking machines should not be confused with industrial printers, which are covered in another buying guide.Laser marking is a marking method that uses a focused laser beam to alter the surface of a target. The laser beam is emitted by an oscillator and scanned using a mirror (known as a scanning mirror), and a focusing lens is then used to focus the beam on the target and mark it by altering the surface.
