Product Details
Polycab 33kV HT (High Tension) cables in 185 sq. mm and 300 sq. mm sizes are heavy-duty, XLPE-insulated power cables designed for primary power distribution. These typically feature Aluminium conductors (A2XFY/A2XWY) and are armored with flat steel strips or round wires to withstand underground burial and mechanical stress. Core Specifications Voltage Grade: 33kV (available in both Earthed and UE-Unearthed ratings). Insulation: Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) for superior thermal stability (up to 90°C continuous) and dielectric strength. Construction: Conductor: Stranded compacted circular Aluminium (Class 2). Screening: Extruded semi-conducting compound with copper tape metallic screen. Armouring: Galvanised Steel (GS) flat strip or round wire armour. Outer Sheath: Extruded PVC Type ST2 (Black), often formulated to be termite and rodent resistant.
