Polycab solar cables are specialized DC cables designed for photovoltaic installations, featuring high durability, UV resistance, and adherence to international safety standards. They are available in various sizes, with 4 sq mm and 6 sq mm being common options.Key Features and SpecificationsPolycab solar cables are engineered to withstand the demanding conditions of solar power systems, ensuring efficient and reliable energy transmission. Conductor: Flexible annealed tinned copper conductor (Class 5 as per IEC 60228) to prevent oxidation and ensure excellent conductivity. Insulation & Sheath: Made with E-Beam Cross-Linkable LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) polyolefin compound, which is nearly indestructible under sunlight. Resistance: Features high resistance to UV radiation, ozone, hydrolysis, oil, chemicals, acids, and alkaline solutions, making them suitable for permanent outdoor use. Temperature Range: Designed for a wide operational ambient temperature range of -40°C to +90°C, with a maximum conductor temperature of 120°C. Safety Standards: They are flame-retardant (IEC 60332-1), low smoke, halogen-free, and meet international certifications such as TÜV Rheinland and EN 50618. Voltage Rating: Rated for high voltage levels, typically up to 1.5 kV DC (conductor-to-conductor) or AC 0.6/1 kV, suitable for various solar installations. Longevity: Anticipated service life of more than 25 years under normal operating conditions.
