Prepainted Galvalume Iron (PPGL) metal roofing is a durable, cost-effective, and weather-resistant building material consisting of an aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel core with a protective, decorative painted finish. It offers superior corrosion resistance, is lightweight, easy to install, and available in various colors, making it ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial roofing and wall cladding applications. Key Characteristics Galvalume Coating: The base steel is coated with a Galvalume alloy (55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, 1.5% silicon), which provides excellent protection against rust and corrosion. Pre-Painted Finish: The steel coil is then coated with multiple layers of paint (primer and top coat) after a chemical treatment. This adds an extra layer of protection and enhances its aesthetic appeal. High Strength: PPGL sheets have high tensile strength, which contributes to their durability. Lightweight: The lightweight nature of the material makes it easier to transport and install.
