Power floating eliminates the time and materials needed to apply a finishing screed and is quicker and less labour-intensive process than hand trowelling.A power float is a hand-operated or ride on machine used to produce a smooth, dense and level surface finish to concrete slabs. Power floating gives a smooth hard-wearing finish ideal for workshops, sheds and similar industrial areas.Power trowel polishing saves a significant amount of labor, cuts down on production time, and has minimal start-up costs. It's also a wet process, so your team won't be at risk from airborne silica hazards.Your surface is ready to power float when your footprint is ¼” deep or a bit less and it doesn't bleed much water. If you get much water on the footprint or it is more than ½” deep, wait a little longer and try again this technique. But remember, do not wait too long.
