A power trowel (also known as a "power float" and "troweling machine") is a piece of light construction equipment used by construction companies and contractors to apply a smooth finish to concrete slabs.Float pans, also known as float disk, are circular attachment to the power trowel bottom which will be clipped on the trowel blades. Floats are used for the initial step of polishing of the fresh concrete.On a Tomahawk power trowel, you will see that included every trowel there are four combination blades. Combination blades can be used for both floating and finishing operations. The combination blade has three edges which allows it to be used flat in the floating position and tiled in the finish positionPower float concrete is a concrete finish achieved using a machine designed to smooth, and to some extent level, a newly laid but hardened concrete floor once all bleed water has evaporated; a power float machine uses rotating circular pans to achieve this buffed and polished finish.
